SRCC is looking for a Coach in Season 2021/22

South Road Cricket Club who are a long standing and proud club of the Adelaide and Suburban Cricket Association are looking to engage a community minded Cricket Coach to be part of our team to inspire and motivate people to play cricket in the Edwardstown area. The role will be required to deliver fun, engaging and active sessions to a wide variety of skill sets from juniors through to female participants.

We believe 2021/22 season will be full of opportunity and engagement with our existing playing group as well as the new players attracted to our inclusive and community club. With our Section 3 side falling at the last step, after reaching the grand final in 2020/21, we are looking for someone to engage with this playing group and assist them in achieving a title, while developing the skill sets of those in the lower grades creating competition throughout our playing group for spots in the top grade.

SRCC want to increase the number and the diversity of the playing group, so a goal orientated and personable coach to all is required to conduct training sessions to suit individual and specific needs ensuring a high level of enjoyment whilst striving for our end on field objectives.

We are seeking a qualified cricket coach, player coach also welcomed, who will bring enthusiasm, fresh ideas and a willingness to learn and develop with our playing group. The successful candidate, will report directly to the executive committee, and will form an integral part of a friendly, professional and supportive team that have a ‘can do’ attitude towards our goals.

Pre-requisites for this role will be the abilities of:

  • A glass ¾ full personality
  • Set clear and monitoring objectives from training sessions to season outcomes
  • Ability to set skills drills required for different ability levels
  • Being a social part of our community club
  • Providing input into team selections

If you feel you have these attributes you are encouraged to apply to secretary@southroadcricket.org All applications will be treated as confidential and remuneration will be discussed with the suitable applicants at interview stage.

Following the junior’s presentation we will hold our annual general meeting which everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. At the conclusion of the meeting the senior presentation night will be held.

The bar will be open for the night and meals can be purchased at the bistro.

Come and join us for the last event of the season and recognise our player’s accomplishments for the 2020/21 season with a few laughs thrown in for good measure. Hope to see you all there.
